Commercial UAV Expo: Special Drone Inspection & Surveillance Bundle Launches in Partnership with Gotonomi & Viasat

Following the completion of successful flight trials, leading UAV satellite connectivity providers Gotonomi have achieved Viasat type approval – making them the first UAV terminals to receive approval for Regional Class 4 operations.

Open for orders at this year’s Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas, in partnership with Videosoft Global, to celebrate this exciting milestone Commercial UAV visitors are first in line to access an exclusive drone inspection and surveillance product bundle.

Videosoft are leaders in real-time UAV surveillance solutions for complex BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) missions, remote marine environments and IoT activities using the lowest possible bandwidth. Simplifying video live-streaming over satellite for UAV operators, the transition from pre-production flight development kits to type-approved, commercial terminals opens up services such as inspection, surveillance and delivery to BVLOS operations around the globe.

After comprehensive verification testing, including flight trials across the EU, US, Canada, Australia, UK, and Brazil, deliveries of CE/FCC/RCC/ISED marked units are due to commence from October 2024. Flight development kits for Research and Development (R&D) purposes are still available for delivery.

Gotonomi terminals feature class-leading SWaP-C specification points, with the Multi-Link terminal weighing just 230g and the antenna weighing 210g. Coupled with Videosoft Global’s adaptive software, ultra-low bandwidth video streaming down to 1kbps can be achieved.

Gotonomi’s partner TTP is also working on Detect and Avoid (DAA) technology, to further enhance the safety capabilities of UAV operations.
